“This painting has always spoken to me as a soul compass, ever since the surface of its optical eye first met my gaze. An array, a color field, a spectrum, numerous points of light, and a prism cast rainbow all combine to send warmth upward towards my crown chakra. Many paintings over-time have become portals or windows, some peer into familiar scenes and some delve into surreal otherworldly dimensions. Through his painting, Burton Callicott transforms me into pure light where I join eternal light beings, become transcendent of space, void of gender, purged of identity, and broken free from the constraints of time.”
