Gift of Robert and Lillian Montalto Bohlen

"Jordan Eagles’ FKTS 30 is simply stunning - the kind of piece you need to experience in person to appreciate just how visceral and luminous it is. That effect is the result of Eagles’ artistic process, which suspends and preserves blood in resin. Works, such as FKTS 30, made with blood from slaughterhouses, addresses themes of corporeality, spirituality and regeneration. However, Eagles’ more politically motivated series utilizes blood donated from members of the LGBTQI+ community to challenge discriminatory blood donation policies and advocate for civil rights."
