Night Garden
I think the most distinctive feature of this print, "Night Garden" by artist Carol Summers, from AMUM's collection, is how the artist merges the soft borders of each object in the print. However, the sharp edges of the dark center square abruptly interrupt the soft flow as if to lead the viewer down a dark passageway. I like how the artist captured distinctive colors for the garden even though distinguishing exact coloring is more difficult at night. It's as if the artist provides the daytime joy of observing a colorful garden at night.
