Description
The subject of this lithograph is a collage of different images. The depicted images are reminiscent of the paper dolls Cloar would draw, cut out, and play with as a child. In the viewer's bottom left corner, a pair of scissors lies atop an image of these paper dolls, consisting of cowboys, a cowgirl, a baseball player, and a football player. To the right are the small figures of two boys working in a field. The bottom right corner has several bald, wide-eyed heads going back into the image. The center of the image has two fish in honor of Cloar's days of fishing as a boy. To the left is a nude woman, removing her shirt over her head, her legs submerged in water, calling back to the Sears and Roebuck catalogue. The top right corner depicts a baseball field, with two young men dressed in uniforms with their bats leaning into each other in an embrace. A streak of light leads from the bottom right corner to the top left corner, where it becomes a projected image of three cowboys in fight.
