Title
Study for "Charlie Mae and the Raccoon Tree"
Subject
Girl in tree full of raccoons.
Description
The subject of the sketch is two trees at the center of the drawing, with branches spreading out to the edges of the paper. In the foremost tree on the left, a young girl is perched on a branch near the center of the tree, looking back toward the viewer. Climbing on the branches around the girl are 6 raccoons, with two more at the base of the tree. A childhood friend of Cloar's, Charlie Mae told him she would bring treats to the raccoons every mother's day because a hound dog had killed their mother.
